Father Miguel Solorzano was born in 1965 in Guadalajara, Mexico, the ninth of ten children. He entered seminary formation at the age of 18 after completing high school. He was ordained a priest by Bishop Joseph Fiorenza on May 22, 1993, at St. Michael Church in Houston, and holds a Master of Divinity from the University of St. Thomas. Father Miguel became a United States citizen in 1999. He currently serves as pastor of St. Bartholomew the Apostle Catholic Church in Katy, Texas. He also serves as Vicar Forane, or Dean, of the Bluebonnet Deanery, which includes 10 parishes. During his priesthood, he has served in several parishes throughout the Houston area, and as a member of the Presbyteral Council and Archdiocesan Pastoral Council. Among other ministries, he has also served as spiritual advisor for the Guadalupana Association of the Archdiocese.
