Catholic Christian Family Movement (MFCC-USA)
Families Helping Families
What is MFCC-USA?
The Catholic Christian Family Movement (MFCC-USA) is a community of Catholic families who work together to promote the human and Christian values of family life.
Strengthening families for more than 75 years.
MFCC teams meet 15 times during the school year, every other week. Each team is accompanied by a mentor couple who prepares each session with the assistance of a Spiritual Advisor.
Couples do not need to be married in the Catholic Church to participate in the formation process. Everyone is welcome to begin the journey of growth and faith.
Why Focus on Families?
The family is God’s greatest gift to humanity and the living image of the Most Holy Trinity on earth. Because of its unique dignity and mission, the family faces many challenges in today’s world.
MFCC is dedicated to helping families grow stronger in faith, love, communication, forgiveness, and service so they can become authentic domestic churches.
What Does MFCC-USA Offer?
Katy Federation – Region 5
Marriage Formation Program
Whether married in the Catholic Church or not, couples have the opportunity to meet with other couples every other week throughout the school year.
Together they reflect on 15 formation topics, guided by an experienced mentor couple who has prepared each session with the Spiritual Advisor. Through dialogue and shared experiences, couples strengthen their relationship with one another and with Christ.
Children & Youth Ministry
This program is designed for pre-teens and teenagers (ages 11–17) to encounter Christ through service while discovering that they are valued as the present and future of the Catholic Church.
MFCC youth meet every other week during the school year and participate in faith formation, social activities, volunteer service, and community outreach.
Mothers Leading Their Families Program
This ministry is designed for women who are raising their families on their own, including single mothers, widows, and divorced mothers.
Like the marriage program, participants meet regularly for formation and mutual support. The program provides encouragement, friendship, and spiritual guidance for women who carry the responsibilities of both mother and father within their homes.
Family Activities Throughout the Year
MFCC also sponsors activities that bring the entire family together.
Holy Rosary
On the 19th of every month, the Prayer Apostolate leads the Rosary at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, praying especially for our parish community through the intercession of St. Joseph, Patron of Families.
Christmas Posada
Every December 16, we begin the Christmas Novena with a traditional Posada celebration for the whole family, featuring the participation of our Children & Youth Ministry.
Family Picnic
During the transition from spring to summer, we hold our annual Family Picnic where members enjoy fellowship, food, games, and friendly competitions.
St. Valentine’s Dance
A fun evening featuring dinner, music, dancing, and prizes, providing an opportunity for couples and families to enjoy fellowship with the entire MFCC community.
