The Diocese of Galveston-Houston offers Adult Confirmation twice a year.

The first cycle of Confirmations takes place in Spring / Summer every year, with multiple Diocesan Confirmation Masses around the time of the Feast of Pentecost in May or June.

The second cycle of Confirmations takes place in the Fall / Winter every year, with multiple Diocesan Confirmation Masses around the time of the Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord in January.

Classes of preparation for the Sacrament at St. Bartholomew are taught in English and Spanish.

Requirements:

• The classes are for those practicing Catholics older than 18 years of age that have completed high school. If you are still a minor or in high school, please participate in the youth formation process.
• To participate in the classes, you should have no obstacles to receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist regularly. If you are
• married, you should be married in the Catholic Church; if not, you must first get your marriage validated in the Church and then you can be Confirmed.
• At the first class, we will need a recent copy of your Baptismal Certificate to fill out your Adult Confirmation Information Form, which will be used to register you on the diocesan website.
• You must assist the preparation that consists of six classes from 7 to 9 pm on six consecutive Tuesdays in classrooms 206/207 on the second floor of the FLC Building
• You must have a Sponsor for the Sacrament. The sponsor must be a practicing Catholic in good standing who has received the three Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation) and if married, should be married in the Catholic Church.

Classes:

​Spring / Summer Cycle of Confirmation Preparation:

• Classes begin on Tuesday of the second week after Easter (commonly in April) and finish on the week of the Feast of Pentecost.

Fall / Winter Cycle of Confirmation Preparation:

• Classes begin in the last week of October and finish the second week of the December.

Clases de Confirmación para Católicos Adultos

La Diócesis de Galveston-Houston ofrece la Confirmación para Adultos dos veces al año.
El primer ciclo de Confirmaciones se lleva a cabo en primavera/verano cada año, con múltiples Misas Diocesanas de Confirmación alrededor de la Fiesta de Pentecostés, en mayo o junio.

de la Epifanía del Señor, en enero.

Las clases de preparación para el Sacramento en San Bartolomé se imparten en inglés y español.

Requisitos:
• Las clases son para católicos practicantes mayores de 18 años que hayan terminado la escuela preparatoria. Si aún eres menor de edad o estás en la escuela preparatoria, participa en el proceso de formación juvenil.
• Para participar en las clases, no debes tener ningún impedimento para recibir los Sacramentos de la Reconciliación y la Eucaristía regularmente. Si
estás casado, debes estar casado por la Iglesia Católica. De lo contrario, primero debe validar su matrimonio en la Iglesia y luego podrá recibir la
Confirmación.
• En la primera clase, necesitaremos una copia reciente de su Certificado de Bautismo para completar el Formulario de Información de Confirmación
de Adultos, que se utilizará para registrarlo en el sitio web diocesano.
• Debe asistir a la preparación, que consta de seis clases de 7 a 9 p. m., seis martes consecutivos, en los salones 206/207 del segundo piso del Edificio
FLC.
• Debe tener un Padrino (o Madrina) para el Sacramento. El padrino, debes ser un católico practicante con buena reputación que haya recibido los tres
sacramentos de Iniciación (Bautismo, Eucaristía y Confirmación) y, si estás casado, debes estar casado por la Iglesia Católica.
Clases:
• Ciclo de Preparación para la Confirmación Primavera/Verano:
Las clases comienzan en el martes de la segunda semana después de Pascua (típicamente en abril) y terminan la semana de la Fiesta de Pentecostés.
• Ciclo de Preparación para la Confirmación Otoño/Invierno:
Las clases comienzan la última semana de octubre y terminan la segunda semana de diciembre.
